Changes

It happened so fast and unprepared...

Two colleagues were retrenched...

They are gone now...

No trace of them in the cubicle...

Now.

Changes make me feel vulnerable...

Uncertainty makes me feel unsettled...

Reap what you sowed...

Sow the seeds you want to reap...

Be fair to the chance having given to sow...

Be fair to the efforts sowed and earn the reaps much deserved...

proudly...

met. meet. meeting

talking to him is like relating to an old friend whom i've not seen for ages...

the talk wasn't trying but very engaging...

sharing many likes and dislikes; yours and mine...

the meeting of the mind and frequency...

participating in the same talk...

you and i...

we met; we talked...

it has started...

when a colleague disappearing in the office for consecutive days...

and no one knows where she/he has been...

it's so scary...

the anticipation...the speculation...

perhaps i'm be the next soon or some day...

no one likes to feel this way...

and suddenly you know the pattern is starting...

and everyone has to start to embrace this change...

so as to survive and function the routine daily...

i need to prepare a positive disposition for this occurrence...

and not allow myself to be crush...

spiritual mirror

~~edited

i saw the most ugliest sides of human these couple of weeks...

being blinded by negative emotions i might have shown a facet too... shame on me

in a head strong situation an ugly side mirrors another ugly side ...

all it needed was just to give a step backward and observe...

then we got to see the bigger picture that there weren't only two got affected...

if one bothered to take a glimpse at the side of the corner of the eye...

there were other people who got very much worn out by this ego battle...

a mirror is a tool we used to reflect upon ourselves to see our flaws and correct them...

a mirror is not a weapon to bring our own flaws on to another person and want to correct them...

Mirror mirror on the wall...
Show me my flaws and shame me...
...and help me to fix my faults...

truth vs deceit

it's been a tug of war of truth vs deceit.

it's the unsettling feelings in the heart that sadden me.

but, i've been told to surrender and let go.

so, i quit this tug of war game.

because i know all i need is to embrace the truth.

it's then i receive peace.

" Peace is but an empty word if it does not rest … on truth, built according to justice, nurtured and animated by charity, and put into practice in freedom."
- Blessed Pope John XXIII (1881-1963)

poor but happy :)

I took this photo when I was passing by a cozy arty cafe at Xi Meng Ding in Taipei last January. The window displays was captivating -a cozy pillow and a pretty menu flipped opened. But when I took a closer look-- touched, heart-felt and inspired I was when I read the captions...

"Poor but happy...the fulfilling of a bowl of instant noodles.
The warmth from a cotton quilt."

"Whatever you dream of, you can make it come true."

"Simplicity fills a heart makes Happiness Real."

winter taipei

Taipei was chillingly cold when I was there in January 2009. I was told that a cardigan would be enough and so I didn't bring along my wind breaker. But I was quite alright with the cooling temperature when I touched down on Taipei Airport. The cold wind got me as the evening came. It was unbelievably cold. Let's the pics do the talking...I had an amazing trip there :)

Some accessories I couldn't resist myself from buying...vain...vain...vain!
These pretty and cute packaging caught my eyes, beneath are sweets and chocolates....all have been given to family and friends as souvenirs...none left for myself

Jay's collectible T-shirt I got; one for a friend and one for myself

Ahem...my shopping spree...hees hees

My favourite snack in Taipei---smelly fried tofu with prickers

I went to Mr J Restaurant and ordered this Farfarelle pasta..couldn't remember the actual name...it was sumptuous!

Some local foods we tackled in a food court...yummy!

Big child

It was a poignant moment in church yesterday during mass. As I knelt down at the pew for my prayers, it came to me some deep thoughts.

Some thing was telling me that I need to move on with my life, hmm, to re-phrase, it was urging me to give a serious and deep thought of my life: how I want to live my life? what I want in my life?...etc. Suddenly, many priorities flashed on my mind.

I reckon that I should start advancing my career, i.e., to take on a higher responsibility to challenge my capability. It is not a form of power or money hunger, but it's more of a self-realisation that I can manage a higher and bigger role.

Also, my thoughts fall on to my family. As usual, I need to work towards to fostering a closer and fulfilling siblings relationships.

Next, about myself, do I want to have a family of my own? I'm starting to questioning now. Strange, I have been taking this rather lightly for the past few years, but now I'm beginning to ponder on.

The child in me is growing up; I need to cooperate with this child.
